When I turn the "program" knob, the program number changes, but not the name or the actual program. If I run it through midi, then it resets at 127, and again after each 127.Īs an update, another problem is now occurring. So the cutoff still goes from 0-1021, but doesn't reset at 127. The Sequential Pro 3 draws from the full range and shines with three selectable analog filter classics (Prophet-6, OB-6 and Moog) to process the elaborately created basic sound. Powerful Performance Potentially the Pro 3’s most powerful performance tool is the sequencer. Use a MIDI utility such as SysEx Librarian (Mac) or MIDI-OX (Windows) to open all 32 wavetables. On the Pro 3, press the Global button, then press Soft Button 2 and set MIDI SysEx Cable to USB. When I don't do that, the stepping on the knobs goes away. Connect the Pro 3 to your computer with a USB cable. The analog oscillators provide triangle, saw, and pulse shapes with waveshaping the wavetable oscillator offers 32 tables of 16 waves each, complete with wave morphing capability. One note: I was running this through MIDI using Ableton to control it. The Pro 3 features three oscillators: two classic VCOs and one wavetable oscillator. I'm loathe to have to return this, ship it, and wait weeks for another but I can't imagine this is intended. It boasts a three-octave, semi-weighted keyboard - featuring both velocity and channel aftertouch -, a location-sensitive touch slider and modulation wheels. The envelope controls all seem to work, going from 0-127, some of the effects knobs work normally, others don't. The Sequential Pro 3 is a 2-VCO + wavetable mono/paraphonic synthesizer that builds on the iconic Sequential Pro 1 and Pro 2 models. The shape mod goes to 255, resetting at 128. I've never seen a synth like this and, if it's intended, this is not the synth for me. Is this normal? The fine tune goes from -700 to +700, recycling at 127. 1-127 is a normal sweep, and then 128 is like 1 again, and so on up to 1021. For instance the cutoff goes from 0 to 1021. Sequenciador de 64 pasos con 16 pistas por sequencia para secuenciar casi cualquier parametro de sinte - Matrix de modulacion de 32 slots con 46 fuentes y 171 destinos - Arpegiador y 2 slots de efectos. When I change parameters with the knobs, many go well past 127 or 100. Maybe there is a setting or something I'm missing. The Sequential Pro 1 and Pro 2 mono synths achieved nearly legendary. The Pro 3 ships with 32 default wavetables available to load up on the third oscillator, but Sequential has also added 32 additional wavetable slots that can be used for importing User Wavetables. The Sequential Pro-3 is a 3-voice mono/paraphonic synthesizer. I've had a lot of synths and think something is wrong but would appreciate any input. The Sequential Pro 3 has two analog VCO oscillators, plus a third digital oscillator that has standard virtual analog waveshapes, plus Wavetables. Compared to Novation Summit or even the Arturia Minifreak, which have amazing sounding fx, the PRO3 usually gets sampled to audio in dry, and the fx come from either DAW or pedal's afterwards.īut all in all, an amazing piece of gear to have in your everyday arsenal.Hi, I just got a Pro-3 and it's very strange. You instantly get something warm and soulful.Įasy to use, not too much menu diving needed, can do simple stuff really well and you can go pretty crazy with the sound design stuff as well.ġ) I don't really find myself using the sequencer a lot (compared to Arturia minifreak's sequencer, which is hella fun)Ģ) The built in effects(reverb, delay etc) don't really impress me much. It features a handsome, multi-angle tilt-up panel and full premium-grade walnut trim. So for weird and heavy bass sounds or even leads, it's perfect!Īnd for warm analog sounding stuff it pulls it off extremely well, for simple warm synth bass you can just have 1 saw osc, record some audio in the project while jamming with the filter cutoff (amazing filters btw) and then i use Fairfield Circuitry's Shallow water on top of it. The Pro 3 SE is Sequential’s Special Edition of its new flagship 2-VCO + wavetable mono/paraphonic synth. And you can route external audio to it as well. The main thing i love about PRO3 is the tuned feedback module! Absolutely stunning and gnarly. I was torn between either getting a Moog Sub37 or PRO3, but at the end of the day PRO3 now sits in the studio as one of the main synths.
